Addison Public Library prides itself on bringing technology to residents of Addison. While our dozens of PCs provide Internet access and document editing features to hundreds of people every month, we realize that sometimes our patrons need more software, more hardware, and more power than ordinary computers provide. Our new Creative Studio aims to bridge that gap.
Reserve a two-hour timeslot in the Creative Studio by calling 630.458.3354. You may reserve the room once a week. You must be an Addison Public Library resident cardholder to reserve. There is space for two people working together in the private room.
In the Creative Studio, you can use our iMac, photo scanners, and media converters to scan and edit photos, record and produce movies and music, and do much, much more. Below, find a list of what we currently offer. More is on the way!
- iLife Suite (iPhoto, iMovie, Garageband, iTunes)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher, etc.)
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, etc.)
- Manga Studios
- Final Cut Pro
- Roxio Toast
We recommend you bring your own USB storage drive to easily save your creations. For bigger projects, we check out 500GB external hard drives.
