We'll be learning about the code that makes computers work by playing with robots, coding games, computers, and tablets. Grades 3 - 5. Please register!

Mother's Day Cards / Kartki na Dzień Matki

Wednesday, May 9, 2018 - 5:30pm to 6:30pm

Make a card using a Polish style called wycinanki, which is a papercutting art form. Everyone is welcome. Supplies will only be given to those that register. / Rejestracjia jest konieczna aby uczestniczyć. Zrób kartkę na Dzień Matki używając polskiego stylu. Będzie też wystawa wycinanek zrobione przez Panie Krystyny i Julia Jaroć.  Program jest otwarty dla wszystkich grup wiekowych. Każdy kto będzie chciał zrobić kartkę musi się zarejestrować. Materiały są ograniczone tylko dla tych którzy zarejestrowali się.

Join us for a sensory play experience! We'll have all sorts of different stations filled with activities for children & caregivers to enjoy together. Birth - 3 years with caregiver; registration opens May 1.

Chicago’s Polonia: Past, Present, Future

Saturday, May 19, 2018 - 1:00pm to 2:00pm

Dr. Jason Schneider of DePaul University will discuss the story of Chicago’s Polish immigrant community, or Polonia, by focusing on the historical migrations of Poles to the U.S., and some of the group’s practices and contributions after settling in the Chicago area. Then, drawing on his own research with Polish immigrants and the work of others, he will explore how the community has evolved in recent years and speculate on possible future directions for Chicago’s Polonia.

Craft will be available.
