1,000,000th Item Checked out Today

Library director Mary Medjo Me Zengue surprised Addison resident Barbara Weber with the news that she had just checked out the 1,000,000th item since the new library building opened in July 2008. Weber, a library user for more than 30 years, received a bouquet of balloon and a bag of goodies.
 What makes this even more special is that this is National Library Week. Medjo Me Zengue said, “We couldn’t have planned it better if we had tried.”
