Take a Vital Survey on Internet Use and Broadband Benefits
April 11, 2012
Broadband Illinois has asked Illinois libraries, including the Addison Public Library, to help them conduct a high speed Internet usage study for the State of Illinois. The research will be used to develop a comprehensive broadband plan for the state that will help create jobs, improve medical care, enhance educational opportunities, and help Illinois businesses compete in the 21st century. The results will accessible to the public.
Broadband Illinois is gathering data which will be used to develop strategic plans for broadband infrastructure and education throughout the state. This research is part of a broader effort that includes the Illinois Communities Gigabit Challenge and Eliminate the Digital Divide grant programs.
Addison's residents and local businesses have the opportunity to be heard and influence the development of statewide broadband strategies which will resonate for years to come. On behalf of Broadband Illinois and Lieutenant Governor Sheila Simon, Broadband Illinois invites you to participate in an online survey.
