Register to Vote by Oct. 9th!
October 01, 2012
Don't forget to register to vote! Tuesday, Oct. 9th is the deadline. If you have changed your address since last time you voted (or if you have never voted before), you must register. Many library employees can register you to vote or help you check your eligibility. Ask at a desk while you're here or call ahead to make sure someone who can register you is working.
To register, you must be a U.S. citizen, you must be at least 18 years old, and you must have lived in your precinct for 30 days. You must have two valid forms of identification, and one of these must have your current address on it. Drivers licenses, utility bills, and bank statements all work.
If you don't register by Tuesday, Oct. 9th, you can't vote in the November 6th election--so don't delay!
