Addison Public Library prides itself in bringing technology to residents of Addison. While our dozens of PCs provide Internet access and document editing features to hundreds of people every month, we realize that sometimes our patrons need more software, more hardware, and more power than ordinary computers provide. Our new Creative Studio aims to bridge that gap.
In the Creative Studio, you can use our iMac
and photo scanner
to scan and edit photos, record and produce movies and music, and do much, much more. Below, find a list of what we currently offer. More is on the way!
- Batch scanner
- M-Audio Keystation keyboard
- Blue Yeti microphone
- Sennheiser headphones
- Acrobat Pro
- Media Encoder
You can also check out a green screen
, a digital camera
, or even a GoPro video camera
to make projects at home. Expect more of our great computer classes all summer and fall.
Reserve a two-hour timeslot in the Creative Studio by calling (630) 458–3318. You must be an Addison Public Library resident cardholder to reserve. There is space for two people working together in the private room.
The Creative Studio is open to the public, but we are not quite through working on it. We ask for your patience as we continue to improve our offerings and the level of support we can provide. Let our staff know if you have any suggestions or email feedback to email@example.com
. We recommend you bring your own USB storage drive or buy a flash drive here at the library so you can save whatever you create.
