Addison Public Library Celebrates the Holidays!
The library will celebrate the holidays with both ongoing programs and specific events this winter. Stop by the library anytime this season for:
- This Sunday at 2, you won't want to miss "A Very Spontanians Holiday!" It's an improv show by a group of former Glenbard East students the Chicago Reader calls "better than Second City."
- On Dec. 17, we'll show the classic It's a Wonderful Life on the big screen and we'll serve holiday refreshments as well. Make sure you register for this event, which is at 1:00 and again at 6:30 pm.
- The next night at (Dec. 18 at 7:30 pm), a choral group from Addison Trail High School will sing carols for patrons. You won't want to miss this lovely evening program.
- Genealogy Club will have their regular December meeting (Dec. 20, 7 pm), but holiday treats will be served. Share what you're researching, use the library's resources, and let us know what types of genealogy programming you'd like to see in the new year. Register here.
- Addison Switchboard Christmas Gifts: Two trees in the library will be decorated with gift tags bearing the name of a needy child. Pick up a tag and purchase a gift for the child whose name it bears. We still have a few tags left, and this drive ends on Sunday, so come in and help make this Christmas special for a child who needs your help.
