The Reverend Francis Oughterard hopes that his posting as vicar of a sleepy Surrey village is uneventful and peaceful. Those hopes are dashed when he becomes the object of an obnoxious village woman’s attentions. An accidental murder, suspicious policemen, and cranky villagers all combine to further disturb his peace. It takes the help of his adopted cat and dog to find the solution to his woes.
APPEAL: This is an interesting series since the main character is also the accidental murderer and the reader knows that as soon as the murder is committed.
