Teens Services Associate

Part-Time (17 hrs./wk.), one evening shift a week required, after school hours a priority.

Salary: $18.64 - $23.30/hr. $23.30 is the midpoint. Internal equity is used in determining the rate of pay.

Position Details  

The Addison Public Library is seeking a customer-focused Teen’s Services Associate to help connect teens with their interests and information needs. Along with providing an exceptional patron experience, you will have the opportunity to provide programming support and assist with promotions and outreach. The library is across the street from the junior high school making the Teen’s Department a busy place in the afternoon.

 What we are looking for:  

  • A positive attitude.
  • Passion for working with the public and connecting them to resources.
  • Ability to cultivate meaningful relationships and serve as a mentor to regular teen patrons.
  • Effective, enthusiastic, and respectful communication.
  • Proficiency in the use of technology.
  • Knowledge of young adult literature and adolescent development.
  • Excellent customer service skills with two years of experience.
  • LTA or bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Directly related experience and/or enrollment in higher education may be considered in place of the degree requirement.
  • Two years of customer service experiences required.
  • One evening shift a week required.
  • Access to transportation required.

Children’s Services Associate

Part-Time

Hours: 17 hrs./wk.; Mon. 4:15 – 9:15 PM, Thur. 8:45 – 1:15, Fri. 12:30 – 5:00. Once every four weeks, you will need to work the following weekend shift as well: Sat. 8:45-5:15, Sun 12:45- 5:15

PT Guest Services Clerk

Part Time Hours: (17 hrs./wk.) Sun. 1:00 – 5:15, Mon. 5:15 – 9:15, Wed. 9:15-1:15, Fri, 12:30-5:15

Salary:   $14.44-$18.06/hr. DOQ. $18,06 is the mid-point of the salary range. Internal equity is used in determining the rate of pay.
