The Hive
The Hive is a space to hang out, play, and explore. Designed for patrons in grades 6-12, the space has comfortable furniture, games and crafts, and is likely to be busy during after school hours. Along with our collection of Young Adult books, the space offers 8 desktop computers, fidget toys, school supplies, board games, and is staffed by our team of Teen Librarians.
Social Services
Yesenia Benavidez is the Library’s Social Services Coordinator. She works directly with patrons, listening to their needs, referring them to community and legal resources, and helping them connect the dots. Her services are available for free by appointment in English and Spanish.

Live Homework Help
One on one tutoring in math, English, science, social studies, AP classes, college test prep, and more for students in kindergarten through college and beyond. Tutors are available in English and Spanish from 3:00pm-10:00pm.

Exam Proctoring
As part of our mission to promote lifelong learning, the library offers exam proctoring to Addison Public Library cardholders. Exams are administered by appointment only and applications for proctoring must be submitted at least seven days in advance.
Creative and Sound Studios
The Creative & Sound Studios are a do-it-yourself creative space for music production, digitization, crafting, digital art, and other maker projects! The Studios feature technology and equipment, such as a 3D printer, electronic cutters, recording space, and more to inspire and educate a community of makers and creators.
