Music

Streaming/downloadable music is available to Addison Library cardholders through Hoopla. Hoopla supports PCs, Macs, Android, and iOS devices.

Loan Rules

  • Check out up to 5 items (albums, audiobooks, movies, or tv shows) per month
  • No renewals
  • No waiting list

Setup

  1. Before you set up your Hoopla account, you must know your Addison Library card barcode and your account PIN. 
    • To create a PIN go to your account login, enter your Addison Library card barcode, and click submit with the PIN field empty. You will receive a prompt to create a PIN. 
    • If you have forgotten your PIN, go to the PIN reset page, enter your Addison Library card barcode, and check your email for PIN reset instructions.
  2. Go to Hoopla.
  3. Click Sign Up at the top right.
  4. Choose Addison Public Library.
  5. Enter your library card number and your account PIN.
  6. Enter your email address and create a Hoopla password.
  7. You have now created a Hoopla account; you can Browse or Search for titles at the top of the screen.

Returning Users

  1. Go to Hoopla.
  2. Click Sign In at the top right and enter your email address and Hoopla password.
  3. Browse or Search for titles at the top of the screen.

The App

There is an app for iOS and Android devices. Download the iOS app, download the Android app, or search for Hoopla in your device’s app store.
