Celebrate your freedom to read! Banned Books Week is Oct. 1-7, 2023

Each year, libraries across the country recognize Banned Books Week to both celebrate each person’s freedom to choose what they want to read and share information about censorship. During Banned Books Week (Oct. 1-7), we’ll have activities to celebrate your Freedom to Read and highlight the diversity of our collections. Spanish Speakers Learning to Read and Write in Spanish at the Library

In the library’s current strategic plan, one of our strategic focuses is to make the library a place that leads, reflects, and supports our diverse community. When we discovered a gap in our services to the community, we made it a goal to offer Spanish-speaking adults programs to prepare for GED en español courses.
