Residents of incorporated Addison can sign up for their library card at no cost at the Guest Services Desk on the 1st Floor. You need a photo ID with your current address. If your photo ID doesn’t have your current address, please bring in an item from the proof of address list.
Go to My Account at the top of the page. Enter your library barcode (no spaces) and PIN. Many times, your PIN is the last four digits of your phone number.
We do an annual address check for Addison residents so you shouldn’t ever have to renew your card! Learn more here.
There is a book return bin at the Guest Services Desk. You can also return books any time using the book drop on the west side of our building.
Addison Public Library cardholders can reserve study rooms up to 7 days in advance. Non-cardholders can use the study rooms as a walk-in reservation. Reserve a room here.
Yes! Use the EZScan station on the 2nd Floor to send a fax for free!
If you don’t have a library card, you’ll need a guest pass to sign in to our computers. Visit one of our service desks to ask for a guest pass.

Wi-Fi hotspots are available for lending. An Addison Public Library card is required. Computers are not avialable for lending. Check our catalog for availability.
Once your hold is ready, you have one week to pick it up. If it is not picked up, your hold will be canceled.
