Request a Training Session
Maker Services staff offer one-on-one training sessions for patrons to learn Sam's Lab and Digital Media Lab equipment.
- We recommend requesting appointments 10 days in advance to guarantee staff and equpiment availability. A staff person will call or email during our next business day to confirm your training session.
- Training sessions are 30-45 minutes long.
- Training sessions are not available to groups of 3 or more.
- The purpose of the training sessions it to provide tutorials to first-time users or teach new skills. Staff will guide patrons through a lesson plan using sample materials.
- Training sessions are not intended for step-by-step project help or for custom projects.
- After completing a training session, patrons will have the necessary skills to start their first project during their next visit.
- Due to demand, patrons are limited to 1 training session per week and 2 training sessions per month.
- An Addison Public Library card is not required for training sessions.
