- Make fewer trips by grouping your errands

- Reuse or repurpose containers, clothing and cloth grocery bags
- Give clothes a second life by donating or buying used
- Know what items your local recycling programs collects, and what items are recyclable

- Turn off the water to brush teeth
- Collect rainwater to use in your garden
Green Facts about Addison
- The Addison Public Library has a green roof. That means that part of the roof is covered in plants!
- The Park District hosts a community garden at Old Mill Park. It has 15 plots and runs from May to October!
- SCARCE is a non-profit group dedicated to creating greener communities through education for schools and other groups. Their Reuse Center is located here in Addison!
- The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County is a group of people that work together to protect natural areas. There are 2 Forest Preserves in Addison: Fullerton Park & Cricket Creek.
