Guidelines
Sam's Lab is a do-it-yourself makerspace! We encourage patrons to learn, experiment, fail, and try again!
- Assistance with equipment is limited based on staffing. We recommend first-timers book a training session, attend a class, or reivew tutorial videos and guides.
- Some equipment is available by reservation. An Addison Public Library card is required for reserving equipment in advance.
- Up to 2 hours a day per equipment.
- Up to 7 days in advance.
- Up to 2 reservations at a time.
- Non-cardholders can use equipment on a walk-in, first-come, first-served basis.
- Children younger than 6th grade must be supervised by an adult or caregiver during their visit.
- It takes time and practice to learn new equipment and complete projects. We recommend bringing extra supplies and allowing for extra time.
- We are unable to accommodate group visits.
