We are offering “Open Labs” in our 2nd floor makerspace during December! Drop-in to use the Cricut Maker, Silhouette Cameo, sublimation printer, and sewing machines. Equipment and staff assistance is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Construction Update
Construction on the new makerspace is wrapping up in December! Which means we'll be busy early 2026 installing new equipment and training staff.
However, we know this time of year is busy for many of our patrons, which is why we're offering Open Labs with limited equipment. Open Labs for Dec 1-5 will be in the 1st floor temporary makerspace. Depending on construction, Open Labs might move to the 2nd floor the week of December 8th.
Once we have an official "grand re-opening" date for the makerspace, we will share it on our Buliding Renovation page.
When are Open Labs?
- Mondays, Dec. 1, 8, 15, 22 1:00-5:00
- Tuesdays, Dec. 2, 9, 16 1:00-5:00
- Wednesdays, Dec. 3, 10, 17 5:00-8:00
- Fridays, Dec. 5, 12, 19 10:00-1:00
Open Labs during December 1-5 will be on the 1st floor.
What is available during Open Labs?
The Cricut Maker, Silhouette Cameo, sublimation printer, heat presses, and sewing machines will be set up for first-come, first-serve use in our new 2nd floor makerspace.
New equipment will not be available during Open Labs.
How to Prepare
For most projects, you need to bring your own materials and prepare a design. Staff are available to answer questions about what and where to buy materials. Staff are available to give basic instruction on the software and equipment for your project. Staff are not able to create designs or projects for patrons.
