Starting Fri. Nov. 1, shoppers can pick up a Shop Small activity sheet from the library or from our participating businesses. Shoppers will travel to the participating businesses to look for the corresponding symbol on the Small Business Saturday poster in the front window. For each symbol, you find and draw on your sheet, you will be entered to win a prize!

In the library’s current strategic plan, one of our strategic focuses is to make the library a place that leads, reflects, and supports our diverse community. When we discovered a gap in our services to the community, we made it a goal to offer Spanish-speaking adults programs to prepare for GED en español courses.
The Addison Public Library is open today, Friday, September 15, 2023, after a second threat of violence this week prompted an emergency evacuation. Both threats this week were determined to be unfounded by law enforcement, and all patrons, staff, and community members are safe.

The Addison Public Library was temporarily closed on September 12, 2023, due to a bomb threat received via our chat service around 2:00 p.m. Thank you to the extensive efforts and immediate response of the Addison Police Department and the DuPage County Bomb Squad, the library has since reopened and is safe for all to return.
