Summer is here, which means parades, backyard BBQs, festive celebrations, and more. The library has a great selection of books, outdoor lawn games, and technology equipment to create a fun, entertaining summer day for anyone!
Hoopla is the Addison Public Library's free digital service, giving cardholders access to a treasure trove of digital content, including eBooks, audiobooks, TV shows, movies, comics, and music. The best part? No more waiting lists!
Addison residents speak English, Spanish, Polish, Urdu, Ukrainian, and many other languages. If your neighbor speaks a different language than you do, you may want to learn that language so you can talk to them. Or perhaps you’ll be traveling to another country and would like to learn a few vocabulary words in that country’s language before your trip. Learning another language also could help you get a job. Whatever your reason, the Addison Public Library has resources to help you build language skills.
Did you know you can check out a memory kit from the library? March 21 is National Memory Day! Our interactive memory kits contain a mix of books, DVDs, music, and activities or games.
